about me

Born in August 1954 in Masagohonmachi, Kagoshima City, Kagoshima Prefecture. When commuting to Kagoshima City Kamoike Elementary School, be sure to pass in front of the hangar of the former Kagoshima Navy Air Base. In September 2008, due to the problem of repair costs due to aging, dismantling and removal was started, and it is now a parking lot. After that, in December 2016, the Kagoshima City Transportation Bureau's office building, where my father worked, was dismantled and removed due to the relocation. There is a record that this station building was relocated from the previous air base building, and once again the "living witness of history" disappeared from the world. From around this time, I felt a sense of crisis as I occasionally got a glimpse of the current situation in which ruins, relics, and relics related to the war are being discarded or removed. At first, I thought that I started from mere nostalgia, but gradually I decided to work on preservation, inheritance, and enlightenment activities because I thought that it was our duty to preserve it for the next generation. Establishing this "The future peace museum of Kagoshima" with the hope that it will become one of the places where you can feel "human weakness" and "thank you for peace" by seeing this war relic. I made it. I would like to continue working on peace creation activities through collection activities, information provision, material lending, exhibitions, and so on. We would be delighted to receive your understanding and support for this activity.
